Privacy policy

This policy explains what information DealTrackr collects when you visit the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to keep this short and readable. If you have questions, email privacy@dealtrackr.example.

Information we collect

We collect basic technical information automatically when you visit the site: your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages you view on DealTrackr. We use this information to operate the site, understand how it is used, and detect abuse.

If you subscribe to the Weekly Deals Digest, you provide a name, an email address, and optionally a phone number for SMS deal alerts. We use these only to send the digest you signed up for and any related transactional messages, and we never sell or rent this list.

Cookies and analytics

DealTrackr uses first-party analytics cookies to measure aggregate site usage and a small number of third-party advertising cookies set by the partners that show display ads on the site. You can opt out of personalized advertising through industry tools such as the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page or by enabling Do Not Track in your browser; we honor that signal where technically possible.

Affiliate links

Many outbound links on DealTrackr are affiliate links: when you click through and complete a qualifying purchase at the retailer, DealTrackr may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. The retailer sets the price and DealTrackr's commission rate; the rate does not influence editorial selection.

Data retention

Newsletter subscriber records are retained for as long as you remain subscribed and for ninety days after you unsubscribe. Server logs are retained for thirty days unless required for security review. You can request deletion of your subscriber record at any time by emailing privacy@dealtrackr.example.

Your rights

If you are a resident of California, the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction with data-subject rights, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information DealTrackr holds about you. We will respond within thirty days.

Children

DealTrackr is not directed to children under thirteen and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen.

Changes

We may revise this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced at the top of this page and, for newsletter subscribers, in the next scheduled digest.
